A Brief Guide to the Colour Codes

The Colour Code system is structured around the four tonal groups of nature: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

Within each of these seasons there is a range of determining factors that has enabled us to create an exact system of 12 Colour Code results. These include your skin undertone, the intensity of your features, the amount of warmth in your complexion, your hair and eye colour and your overall colour intensity and contrast.

Brief Guide

1

Transform Your Appearance

Wearing the WRONG COLOURS drains your complexion, makes you look older, tired, grey or sallow, and accentuates imperfections like eye bags, frown lines and rosacea.

Wearing the RIGHT COLOURS brightens your skin tone, minimises flaws, enhances your features, lifts your bone structure, sharpens your jaw line, and makes you look younger and less tired.

Through a detailed process of facial and pigment analysis, we will provide you with a Colour Code containing a personalised swatch of colours that will optimise your skin, hair and eye tone. This will give you a clear guide on what shade of makeup, hair tint and colour of clothes to buy and wear and help you to look your most amazing. All the colours in your swatch harmonise with one another so you will build a coordinated wardrobe that tones and makes your look amazing. This is a key trick used by stylists and will transform your image and confidence.

2

Dress Happy

As well as having an immediate visual impact, colour also creates a powerful psychological response within us. It affects how we think, feel and behave. Why do so many of us default to the safety of wearing black? Or find red lipstick seductive? Every colour triggers an emotional response that is immediate and instinctive. And understanding that intuitive connection is the key to using our colour code to create a happier, more confident and authentic life.

Similarly, the colours we wear also have a powerful affect on how people see and respond to us. Our colours choices are a direct representation of who we are and how we want the world to see us. We can use them to become more visible professionally, or personally, and to authentically represent our personality and sense of self.

3

A Daily Ritual

The way we start our day has a direct impact on how it progresses. Perhaps you already know this and use exercise, meditation or breath-work to help you. The one thing we all do every day is get dressed. And we can turn this daily task into a daily ritual of positivity, gratitude and intention. Engaging with the emotional energy of colour is central to this.

For most of us, getting dressed is an emotional process. How confident do we feel? Who are we meeting? How visible do we want and need to be? Instead of wearing something because it’s clean, or there, try spending five extra minutes in the morning dressing with a deeper sense of purpose and consideration. Once you know your colour code you can organise your wardrobe accordingly, removing the items that don’t make you feel good and sectioning your clothes by colour. The effect of this will be twofold: firstly, you will create a dressing environment that is simple, organised, calm and joyful, and secondly, you will engage with the emotional properties of the colours that best serve your day, needs, environment, and how you are feeling.

4

A Life Skill

Understanding your colour code is a life skill that helps to boost confidence, happiness, and self-expression. As we age, loose the pigment in our hair, or tan, we will always be the same colour code. The impact of wearing the right colours will build over the years and help you to create a coordinated wardrobe, saving you time and money when shopping, and helping you to dress and wear make-up with confidence.

Clothes should make you feel happy and getting dressed should be a fun and validating experience. If you open your wardrobe and feel depressed, overwhelmed or like you have nothing to wear, and perhaps fear colour as you don’t know what suit you, the colour code is here to transform the way you consider and connect to your appearance. By dressing with intention and connecting to our true sense of self, we will feel happier about who we are and enjoy a more fulfilled day, and life.

5

 Save The Planet

Understanding your colour code is central to the importance of embracing sustainable fashion. Knowing which colours suit you, and building up a tonal and coordinated forever wardrobe, will help you to minimise purchasing mistakes and shop with heightened consideration. Buy less, buy better and buy for a lifetime.

I teach people how to look their best in order to feel their best. What we wear and who we are as individuals are inextricably linked. Our image reflects how confident we’re feeling, how in tune with ourselves, how robust, both mentally and physically, and how much focus we’re able to give our wellbeing.

Why did I set up the Colour Code? What's my story?

Connecting to authentic self. Colour is the key to unlocking how to revolutionise how feel when you look in the mirro.

I was a London-based BAFTA and Emmy-winning TV and Digital Fashion Producer for over 10 years, working with clients including BBC, Channel 4, Sky, Mr Porter, ASOS, Marks & Spencer, Elle, Stylist, H&M and London Fashion Week. Having collected and sold vintage clothing for years (I’m passionate about sustainable fashion), I retrained as an Image Consultant and Colour Analyst and quickly combined producing with wardrobe. I recognised that the colours I was dressing my on-screen talent in were just as important as the shape and style of their outfits. And I became obsessed with the dramatic impact colour could have on people’s appearance.

But my love of colour and the reason it has become my professional focus, is because of the psychological connection we have with the universe of colour and the way it can radically lift and shift our emotions.

I work with a huge range of people, from parents struggling with post-partum identity, to presenters, and those recovering from serious illness. I work closely with global cancer support charity, Look Good Feel Better, to help individuals going through cancer treatment feel more confident and empowered in their changing bodies. Central to the work I do with all my clients is the importance of wearing colours that make you feel happy and look incredible. And the impact is has on people’s mind-set is transcendent.

The Colour Code is the product of years Colour Analysis expertise. I know what a life changing piece of knowledge it is and firmly believe that everyone should know their colour palette to look and feel better, simplify their lives and create a more positive relationship with their image and sense of self. I want to modernise the whole concept of ‘having your Colours done’ and make it an accessible and everyday resource for anyone intrigued by the concept of colour optimisation.

I hope visiting today inspires you to experiment with more colour, play around with your wardrobe, shop and dress consciously, and prioritise your own wellbeing.
